Alphabet soup

LIKE MANY TECHNICAL INDUSTRIES digital marketing is full of jargon. It's a jungle of wonky acronyms and ever-changing labels. If you feel lost, you're not alone. Often, the people using the jargon do not use it accurately. Making matters much more interesting, it changes periodically -- in the spring of 2014, Google revised several labels in Analytics, so "visits" are now "sessions" and "unique visitors" are now "users." It's an evolution in language as well as an evolution in functionality.
